Food Safety Audits
If your business serves food to “vulnerable persons” in facilities such as hospitals, aged-care facilities, child-care centres or delivered meals organisations, you must comply with Food Safety Standard 3.3.1 'Food Safety Programs for Food Service to Vulnerable Persons'.
This involves your business developing and implementing a food safety program, which is audited by a SA Health approved Food Safety Auditor.
To assist businesses SA Health has developed the following guidelines:
- Food Safety Guidelines for Food Service to Vulnerable Persons (PDF 601KB)(opens in a new window)
- Guideline for Control of Listeria in Food Service to Vulnerable Persons (PDF 355KB)
